Sydney Campus international students: enrolment steps

Wherever your studies are based, we'll make every effort to ensure you're part of a vibrant learning community.
When you arrive you must attend Orientation. If you haven't already accepted your offer, do so now.
If you're enrolled at a Victorian campus, please follow these steps.

Register with Us
Registration is on Orientation day. Dates and times can be found here. You can check the enrolment steps here Enrolment Checklist.
Students should make sure they arrive in time to attend registration. If there are reasons you are unable to attend registration please contact Admissions via email: Sydney-Admission@latrobe.edu.au
Conditional offers
If you've received a conditional offer you need to give your documentation to Admissions at registration or email beforehand on: Sydney-Admission@latrobe.edu.au
We will then email you your unconditional offer and instructions on how to accept.
Unconditional offers
If your first offer is an unconditional offer, complete these two stages next:
Stage 1: Register your arrival
Bring your original passport and visa or e-visa if you applied online. If you still owe fees you will need to pay at Reception on campus before you can activate your student account and create your password. Please Note: if you have not paid, you will not be able to activate your student account, and therefore will not be able to enrol on the same day, due to system requirements.
Stage 2: Activate your student account
A staff member will guide you through activating your student account and creating your password. You will then also be given help to enrol.

Find your course details and subject information
It's important to understand your course and the subjects you will undertake. For information you can check the University Handbook.

Attend your registration and enrolment session on Orientation Day
On Orientation Day, you will meet your fellow students, staff, and Orientation buddies. There will be light refreshments while they give you some important information about university life. Your Student ID card will be issued to you, which you'll use for things like borrowing books from the library, printing and photocopying.
Sydney portal registration and timetable
Staff will guide you through registering on the Sydney portal and help you with the allocation of your timetable, as well as other important information.
Log on to StudentOnLine to enrol
After staff have helped you register on the Sydney portal, you must then enrol in your subjects through StudentOnLine.
We've made a video guide to make the process easier to follow. You can also follow these steps (you will not be able to continue without completing them):
- Complete the Parent/Guardian Highest Level of Participation form.
- Log on to StudentOnLine.
- Confirm your Personal Details.
- Confirm your details in the Student Details tile are correct.
- Under 'My address', add your Semester/Term address. If it's not your permanent address in Australia that's ok. You will need to change your address using StudentOnLine when you move to a more permanent location. Ensure you provide your mobile number.
Add an emergency contact. - Confirm your Citizenship and Residency Details.
- Confirm your Cultural Details.
- Confirm your Disability Details.
- Confirm your Educational Background Details.
- Confirm Parent/Guardian Educational Details.
- Under 'My address', add your Semester/Term address. If it's not your permanent address in Australia that's ok. You will need to change your address using StudentOnLine when you move to a more permanent location. Ensure you provide your mobile number.
- Enrol.
- When you're ready to enrol, click the Plan and Enrol button, available on the Manage My Course and Course Overview pages at the top left-hand corner.
- On the Plan and Enrol page you will see an Unscheduled column with core and/or elective subjects. Unscheduled refers to subjects that need to be assigned to a study period. Please note that this is different to timetabling. If you want to see the subject requirements and when it is available, you can select Click for details. This will provide further information about the subject and display subject availabilities.
- You can create a new study period by clicking Plan a Study Period to commence enrolment for the current year and select the study period from the list. Alternatively, you can select the Schedule button on the subject to plan the study period.
- Select the Year and Study Period. The Study Period Date will populate automatically. Click the Next button.
- All Subjects with a confirmed study period for the selected Study Period will appear on the screen. Click the View button to view Subject details.
- Use the tick boxes to add subjects to the Study Period. (Maximum of 6 per study period).
- When you have added all the subjects to the study period/s you want to enrol into, select the Finish button to return to the Plan and Enrol page. The scheduled subjects now appear in a separate column with the status of NOT ENROLLED.
- Select the Enrol button at the top of the Study Period column; you will be presented with a summary of the subjects you are about to enrol in. Select the Confirm button to confirm your enrolment.
- Your subjects will then show as 'enrolled' in the Study Period column.
If you're an undergraduate student, you'll also need to complete the online Academic Integrity and Wominjeka La Trobe Modules.
NOTE: You will be unable to enrol in subjects if you still have outstanding pre-enrolment tasks.
