Student Organisations
La Trobe University is home to two student organisations, the La Trobe Student Association (LTSA) and the La Trobe Student Union (LTSU).
La Trobe Student Association (LTSA)
Located on Albury/Wodonga, Bendigo, City, Mildura and Shepparton La Trobe University campuses, La Trobe Student Association (LTSA) provides Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF) funded support services to La Trobe Students across these five campuses.

What does the LTSA do?
Support LTSA Student Councils
LTSA is governed by an elected student Governing Board of Directors. All of LTSA’s Student Council representatives receive governance training, ongoing support, guidance and mentorship. The Student Councils set the direction of the LTSA and help decide how your SSAF money is spent.

Support International Students
LTSA values highly the contributions of La Trobe's diverse and culturally rich international student population, and what they bring to the life and fabric of the University. LTSA understand the unique challenges and opportunities international students face. LTSA has a member of their team dedicated to creating, fostering and enhancing the international student experience, as well as offering a range of services and support to make your time at La Trobe successful, enjoyable and inclusive.

Organise Events
LTSA is committed to providing a wide range of events to suit every student. LTSA work with local event providers to offer social nights, parties, day trips and celebrate calendar events like Pride Week and NAIDOC Week.

La Trobe Student Union (LTSU)
The La Trobe University Student Union (LTSU) is a representative body for La Trobe University students at the Bundoora campus. Student Representation at La Trobe University is as old as the Uni itself with the first Student Representative Council (SRC) being established in July 1967 and the more encompassing Student Union in 1971.

What does the LTSU do?
Provide an Advocacy service
La Trobe's Advocacy team offers support to students who are experiencing difficulty related to an academic, administrative or welfare issue. The Student Advocacy service operates independently of the University which means that Advocates can assist students without bias or influence from the University. The service is confidential, professional and free.
