Community Children’s Centre
The Centre's services include: all day care, kindergarten, sessional care and support to children aged zero to six years with autism spectrum disorders. The Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 6.15pm.

Chaplaincy
Representing all Christian denominations, the Chaplains offer support and nurturing to visitors of the Chaplaincy, and can assist people with understanding and exploring their faith.
The La Trobe Chaplaincy on your campus can help you to contact and join local churches, mosques, synagogues and temples, meetings, clubs and groups on campus, and help with marriage preparation and weddings. The Chaplaincy also refers people of different religious faiths on where to go for worship:

Muslim prayer facilities
La Trobe University has separate prayer rooms and ablution facilities for men and women. Congregational prayers are conducted Friday lunchtimes in the brothers' and sisters' prayer rooms (Education 2 Building). The facilities are kept locked, so before your first visit, email the La Trobe University Islamic Society to get the security code. There are also two mosques located close to the Melbourne campus, in Heidelberg and Preston.

Our clinic is a teaching, learning and research facility where students get clinical experience in diagnosis and client management. All La Trobe students receive a free initial consultation. You must present your student card. Your Alumni Card entitles you to a 50% discount on the initial podiatry consultation fee charged at the Health Sciences Clinic.

Sports and activities on campus
La Trobe Student Association (LTSA) organises sporting events and activities each year, as well as providing an outdoor multi-purpose court for student use. LTSA also has a range of sporting equipment available for students to borrow.

The La Trobe Art Institute (LAI) gallery is located at 121 View Street, Bendigo, and is open to students and the general public. Regular exhibitions of contemporary and historic art are curated by LAI curators, artists-in-residence and other practising artists.

The FM Courtis Collection
The FM Courtis Collection was commenced by Fred Courtis, then Head of Art Education at the Bendigo Teachers' College, in 1958. An important resource for Bendigo, it provides the opportunity for students to have close and continued contact with quality art works, thus creating an enriched environment for their learning as teachers and for their broader personal development.
Bike lockers, bike racks and showers
A bike storage facility has been built under the Education Building with secure swipe-card access, bike parking, CCTV and showers. There are also a number of bike racks available for students and staff who choose to cycle to the University.

The childcare centre on the Benetook Avenue campus caters for children of students, staff and the community, aged between 6 weeks and 12 years. Prayer rooms
Separate prayer rooms for men and women are located on Level 2 (rooms 2.05 and 2.06). Please see Reception if you have any questions or require assistance locating the rooms.
Food and drink
Student kitchen
A fully equipped kitchen is available for all students. Located on Level 1 outside the Lecture Theatre, the kitchen has two large fridges, freezers, microwaves and filtered hot/cold water. Students are welcome to use these facilities at any time during Campus opening hours..
There are also many coffee shops and cafes next to the Campus and snacks can be purchased from vending machines on Level 1.

The student printer and photocopier is located outside room 1.20 on Level 1
Your student ID card is needed to print on campus and in the Library. You can recharge your card with printing credits at the recharge machine located by the printer. Note: the recharge machine accepts cash only. The cost of printing is 10c per A4 black and white page.

Emergency procedures diagrams are located on each level throughout the building. These diagrams provide floor plans showing the locations of emergency exits and emergency equipment (such as fire extinguishers) and maps for evacuation routes and emergency assembly areas.
