Child's Play
Explore the creative uses of play in therapeutic environments with families with younger children in this hands-on practical workshop delivered by the Bouverie Centre.
Therapists and allied health practitioners who often work with families may lack confidence in their own skills to engage with younger children in sessions with parents and adolescent older siblings.
This experiential workshop focuses on creative and expressive ways of working systemically and therapeutically with children and families. Our subject matter experts will help you explore key concepts and theoretical and practical frameworks and consider guidelines and resources for the use of telehealth when working with children in families.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
By attending this workshop, you will be able to:
- Describe the therapeutic rationale for using play and other creative techniques in the context of clinical work with families with children
