Services
Digital research support services are a collaborative endeavor, provided by Digital Research Analysts, Information Services, and the Library.
Digital Research works closely with our resident Digital Research Analyst and with Library Research Services
Our Digital Research Analyst is available to discuss your technology and data management needs and to connect you with appropriate services, internal and external to the university.
La Trobe’s Library Research Services can provide support to researchers with ‘Research Attention, Value and Engagement’ (RAVE) and with publishing their research and data.
Our resident Digital Research Analyst is provided by our partner organisation, Intersect Australian Ltd. They have access to a wide community of expertise and support. They can assist you and your team through the application of advanced digital solutions in various ways, such as the following:
- Acting as a conduit between Research and Information Services for strategic information technology project proposals.
- Facilitating access to and use of computing services, including local, state, and national high-performance computing capabilities.
- Recommending tools to enhance workflow and improve research productivity.
- Analysing researcher needs with a view to developing new tools/software where existing solutions are not adequate.
- Sharing best practice information from other universities, disciplines, and research groups.
- Developing estimates for the information technology components of grant applications.

Information Services (IS) provide a range of services to support researchers. These cover the support areas of research tools, software development, data storage, computing support, etc. In addition, IS curate support documentation that provides advice and guides about digital research technology, software, and tools.
You can access these services and documentation via the ASK IS service catalogue for research support.
