Engineering Work Integrated Learning Program
Engineering Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Program provides industry partners access to skilled final year undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The 6 to 12 month (800 hour) WIL program is designed for the students to apply their knowledge and skills to your business, working on a project or contributing to the solution of an organisational problem.
For our industry partners, a Work Integrated Learning student is an effective way to add value to your business through project delivery, new ideas, technology and management opportunities for existing staff, while also investing in the future of your workforce.

- Round 1 - Placement period - November to January commencement.
- Round 2 - Placement period - July to August commencement.
Total program cost to industry partner: $15,300
Cost breakdown:
- Student Industry Scholarship: $12,000
- Program Fee: $3,300 (incl. GST on program fee only)

Partnering with La Trobe University through its Work Integrated Learning Program, has enabled us to accelerate the delivery of those projects and created a pipeline of high quality talent entering our business.
Further program information
For the duration of the 800 hours: Students will be full time engaged with the company (except for during the semester where they will be required to be at the university 1 day a week to complete their studies).
After completing the 800 hours, students have the timetable freedom to continue working for the company (if both parties agree to it) in the same arrangement (full time unless during semester where they need to spend 1 day a week at the university).
Please note that after the students complete the initial 800 hours under scholarship, all contractual obligations between the students and company will be handled by the company. The students should be renumerated by the company at an appropriate level in accordance with industry standards.
