Professional background/experience

Margaret Burdeu is the Principal of Burds I-view Consulting that works with government and not-for-profit sectors to renew their policies, strategies and build the engagement of partners and stakeholders.

Margaret has a history of facilitating multi-agency and multi-government partnerships and engagement initiatives and is passionate about promoting conversations that enable those with a stake in decisions to be heard. She is particularly concerned to improve access to education, health, community services, and the arts to people in the North of Melbourne and in particular local immigrant and emerging communities.

Margaret is currently the Deputy Chair of the Melbourne Health Service Community Advisory Committee and sits on a number of other hospital committees. Previously, she held a range of board and senior management roles in government and the not-for-profit sector in the fields of health, multicultural media, women’s affairs, and education.
