La Trobe rises in global QS rankings

La Trobe has confirmed its status as one of the world’s top universities in today’s 2021 QS World University Rankings.

The University has risen two places to its new spot of 398th globally.

Vice-Chancellor Professor John Dewar AO welcomed this recognition of La Trobe as a top performing University.

“La Trobe is cementing its reputation as a world-leading university for teaching, research and graduate employability,” Professor Dewar said.

“As our communities are facing unprecedented challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic, more than ever it’s vital that parents, students and employers know that a university like La Trobe will deliver exceptional education and results for its graduates.  We’re proud these latest QS rankings reflect La Trobe’s dedication to achieving excellence in all areas of the University,” Professor Dewar said.

La Trobe was recently named fourth in the world for its contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by Times Higher Education.

The THE also named La Trobe in its top 300 universities globally, while the University is in the Academic Ranking of World Universities’ top 400.
