La Trobe Online MBA is world leading

La Trobe University’s online MBA program is once again world-leading in the latest QS Distance Online MBA Rankings 2018.

The program is one of only three Australian online MBA programs ranked in the top 50 - positioned fourth in Australia and 46th globally .

Dr Geraldine Kennett, Director of La Trobe’s MBA program, said the program’s leading position on the Australian and world stage is testament to the hard work the MBA team have put into providing a unique, flexible, relevant and engaging experience for students who can complete the MBA online within 12 months from anywhere in the world.

“Our online MBA is tailored specifically to working professionals with more than three years’ management experience, which ensures a much more dynamic peer-to-peer learning and networking experience,” Dr Kennett said.

“It is particularly satisfying to see our high score on the ‘class experience’ ranking indicator*, which reflects both our focus on peer-to-peer learning via weekly live interactive sessions, and the exceptional teaching by our facilitators who have diverse industry experience and expertise.”

The La Trobe online MBA also offers two unique professional experiences:

  • The MBA Career Development Portfolio, facilitated by an industry career consultant, helps students develop and profile their career and leadership skills;
  • A boardroom simulation provides an opportunity for students to illustrate learning in a real-life boardroom situation.

La Trobe’s online MBA program encompasses the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and Sustainable Development Goals, to cultivate responsible business leaders with the skills to develop and sustain competitive advantages for their organisations.

*’Class experience’ ranking indicator :This ranking indicator is worth 15 per cent of the overall ranking score, and it aims to assess how much an online MBA program makes students feel part of a cohort and facilitate interaction between them. This takes into account things like physical meet-up components of a program, if attendance is compulsory, how regular the online classes are, and how much of the program is assessed with group work.
