What were your motivations for joining the La Trobe Leaders Program?
I started my journey with the La Trobe Leaders Program in July 2022. I am motivated to join this program to develop excellent communication and leadership skills and connect with my peers.
What are the benefits of participating in the La Trobe Leader’s Program?
Within a brief period, I met so many new staff members.
Some of them are Lily (Ask La Trobe – City campus); Keya & Al Hanouf (Student Ambassadors); Darryl, Veronica & Shrishti (Career Ready Ambassadors); Catherine (Student Advisor); Carla King (Coordinator – Student Partnerships Team); Alicia Hendrie (Senior Coordinator – Student Partnerships Team); Rana Bishwas, Janet & Mandy (Careers & Employability Team) and many more.
More importantly, I connected with many new people I didn’t know earlier and had great conversations with them.
So, if you are looking to develop communication and leadership skills, make new connections and partnerships, don’t hesitate to join this program.

What has been your favourite part of the Leaders Program so far?
My favourite part of this program is volunteering, which allows you to meet new friends and staff and have great connections. Gradually, volunteering is effacing my shyness and introverted character and making me become a great communicator. I have to emphasise that Carla and Alicia are so friendly and supportive.
