Elevating Employability
Discover how we’re putting students on the right path to a career in their chosen field using industry partnerships, work-integrated learning and integrating other valuable experiences throughout their degree.
This year’s conference will focus on student employability, with La Trobe University leaders sharing new plans to elevate student employability even further.
You’ll also get to experience La Trobe, with a variety of academic workshops designed to give you a real understanding of what the student experience is like.
The agenda for the day includes:
- Welcome address from Dr Stacey Farraway, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Future Growth)
- Careers and employability by Professor Jessica Vanderlelie, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)
- Health Portfolio Innovation update by Professor Russell Hoye, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Health Innovation)
- Experience La Trobe workshops with a variety of courses to choose from
- Making teachers classroom ready: National School Reform initiatives by Professor Joanna Barbousas, Dean, School of Education
- Expo featuring student accommodation, Aspire, Carlton College of Sport and La Trobe College
