The series, entitled Clever Conversations, features a diverse collection of discussions and debates held as part of the University’s respected Ideas & Society program and the Bold Thinking Series over the last two years.
Guest speakers range from former Prime Ministers, respected human rights campaigners and a respected High Court judge, to respected thought leaders from across the social, legal and community sectors asking how a better Australia can be built. La Trobe University academics and alumni also feature strongly through the series, capturing the University’s broad expertise across a wide range of disciplines.
Topics have included; questioning the success of the NDIS five years on, explored the rise of veganism, unpacked the policy and political challenges of modern government, revealed how our privacy is being safe guarded in the cyber sphere and discussed the challenges of Indigenous constitutional recognition.
