“Not only did it alleviate financial pressures, but it also allowed me to focus on my placement without worrying about balancing life and studies.”
My name is Abigail Wilkinson and I am a second year Biomedical Science (Medical) student at the Albury-Wodonga campus and a recipient of the Regional Youth Investment Program – Industry Placement bursary.
Let me share with you how the industry placement bursary has made a significant difference in my academic and professional development…. I completed a student sourced 100-hour placement at the end of last year through the subject LTU3IND. I did this at a dental practice where I had the experience to learn real world clinical skills in a professional setting.
When I found out there were scholarships and bursaries available for regional students like me, I saw it as an opportunity that was too good to miss. I was thrilled to find out I had been successful in my application.
The regional youth investment program is making a big difference to many students, and they can help you too! With valuable industry placement bursaries up for grabs, now is the perfect time to seize the opportunity and make a positive impact on your future at La Trobe.
The $2500 industry placement bursary is waiting to be claimed, applications open right now!
