Our thoughts are with everyone affected by recent events between India and Pakistan. We understand the impact this may have on our student and staff community, both here and overseas.
Events such as this can be very distressing, particularly for those communities who’ve already suffered. Within the University, our Student Wellbeing Connect provides confidential information, support and referral and can be accessed from all campuses. You are welcome to access this service now and in the future.
If the events in India and Pakistan are impacting your ability to attend compulsory classes or placement, please contact your subject coordinator for further advice.
Within the University, support is available to you if you are impacted:
- Wellbeing Support – our Health and Wellbeing team are providing prioritised support to students who are impacted. Contact the team via the website for support.
- Special Consideration – application processes for Special Consideration for impacted students has been streamlined to require only a personal statement that outlines your situation.
We are monitoring the situation closely and listening to the needs of our La Trobe community to offer the best possible support.
Please look after yourselves and each other as our global community deals with another challenging time.
