September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day and the theme this year is “we all have a role to play” and “creating hope through action”.
We know the tragic statistics about male suicide. There are a lot of guys doing it tough who might find it hard to reach out or to find the right support for them.
The Australian Men’s Health Forum (AMHF) provides some great links and information on how to reach out and get support or to start the conversation and talk to others you might be worried about.
There are also resources for rural men, culturally diverse men and guys from the LGBTIQ+ community. World Suicide Prevention Day, what’s your role? – AMHF – Australian Men’s Health Forum
The day is a good reminder there are things we can do to help the men in our worlds to ensure “No man is left behind”.
