Embark on an exciting 8-week program and join a team of like-minded students, clients, industry professionals and academics to solve real world challenges.

In this 8-week program, students will form interdisciplinary consultancy teams to solve real challenges for industry clients.

- Expert Support: Receive guidance from industry clients and academic support from La Trobe’s Subject Coordinator for LTU3IND.
How It Works
To be eligible to undertake the IVC, you must have 15 credit points of elective space available and have completed 120 credit points of your degree.
- Check your eligibility
- Submit an IVC application form
- Enrol into the Industry Placement Elective subject LTU3IND
- Complete your 100-hour industry placement component as you work through reflective assessment tasks.
Your consultancy teams will mostly work remotely, but the face-to-face induction and pitching workshops offer networking opportunities and a chance to meet mentors and clients.
Key Dates for Semester 1, 2025:
- 14 February: Deadline to submit your IVC application
- 25 February: IVC briefing (all registered students)
- 13 March: Induction Day Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus
- 17 March: Online placement commences
- 27 March: Masterclass 1
- 16 April: Masterclass 2
- 15 May: Pitching Day and networking event
- 30 May: Online placement concludes. Final assessments due.
