Career Ready Industry Experiences are two-week virtual projects offered to La Trobe students by our partner, Practera. You’ll work collaboratively with other students to solve a real-world industry client challenge, within a given timeframe.
You will receive a project brief from your client and will need to present your research and insights at the end of the program. Depending on the program, you will receive client and professional mentor feedback along the way and will be supported with learning content via an online platform.
The project you embark on may be for:
- Government organisations
- Small to medium enterprises
- Not-for-profit organisations
- Commercial businesses
Career Ready Industry Experiences are offered at specific times throughout the year. Attend an information session to find out more. Upcoming information sessions are listed on the Career Hub.
6. Career Ready Industry Mentoring Program
La Trobe’s Career Ready Industry Mentoring Program is a flexible 12-week program that runs 3 times each year (Semester 1, Semester 2 & Summer).
You’ll be matched one to one with a La Trobe Alumni or other industry professional and can connect with them online or face to face, for 3 – 6 meetings. Work on your career goals with your mentor as a sounding board, get valuable first-hand insights into your future profession, and build your professional learning network.
