There have been some changes to the Assessment Procedure – Adjustments (including Special Consideration) that come into effect this Semester. These changes impact how we refer to exams and may impact your eligibility for Special Consideration or conceded passes.
What’s changed?
Changes in terminology
- ‘Examination period’ is now called ‘Final assessment period’
- ‘Alternative Exam Arrangements (AEA)’ are now called ‘Alternative Assessment Schedules (AAS)‘
Changes to rules
- Work will no longer be marked if it is submitted later than five (5) working days after the due date or approved extension for an assessment.
- New extension limits apply for students with Learning Access Plans (LAP). If you require an extension of more than 10 days, you will now need to apply for Special Consideration.
- WAM is no longer considered for eligibility for conceded passes.
Make sure you familiarise yourself with the policy so you understand what these changes mean for you.
