Hundreds of adventurous La Trobe University students turned out to the Learning Abroad annual Exchange Fair last week, enticed by international partners and inspired by the experiences shared by returned exchange students to follow in their footsteps.
The event was held in the Agora at the Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus and organised and facilitated by the Educational Partnerships team, alongside enthusiastic student volunteers from various Learning Abroad programs.
The Exchange Fair brought together representatives from ten of La Trobe University’s Learning Abroad partners, including top institutions from the UK, Sweden, France, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Students were keen to engage with international partners, expressing strong interest in finding out more about the global learning opportunities, including short-term and semester-long programs.
The event was a big hit! Both international and local Learning Abroad partners were thrilled with the positive student engagement and how well organised the event was, showcasing La Trobe University’s dedication to providing world-class global learning experiences.
Ms. Ruth Delagas, Senior Manager Learning Abroad and Sponsored Programs at La Trobe University, remarked, “The Exchange Fair was a wonderful opportunity to showcase La Trobe University’s commitment to internationalization and to build partnerships and collaborations with partner institutions around the world. We are thrilled to see our students’ passion for mobility and willingness to explore new learning experiences beyond the classroom.”
The success of the event owes much to the tireless work of the student volunteers and Educational Partnerships team who provided invaluable guidance on scholarships, academic requirements, and the application process. La Trobe University is committed to providing exceptional global learning opportunities to its students. The Exchange Fair’s triumph underscores the university’s ongoing commitment to advancing learning abroad, international partnerships and empowering La Trobe students to make a real impact globally.
